Hoover Dam

Hoover Dam is about 30 minutes away from Las Vegas. It is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between Arizona and Nevada. It was constructed between 1931 and 1936 during the Great Depression and was dedicated on September 30, 1935.

There is a restaurant that you can have a meal. Also, there is a nice trail for you to walk and look around. It takes about 30 minutes to an hour to walk around the area of Hoover Dam. This is a federal facility, so you will be searched and you cannot bring any prohibited items such as weapons, drugs and etc.
