The Perfect Car

In order to be profitable doing rideshare trips, it is extremely crucial to have the right car. You shouldn't spend too much money to buy nice or luxury cars. No matter how hard you try, your car will be damaged one way or another by your passengers. (eg. vomitting, scratching and breaking interiors and etc.) Whether it is intentional or not, companies such as Uber or Lyft will do everything in their powers to not pay for the damage. Therefore, there is no need to have a nice and comfortable car to drive on rideshare platforms.

Driving nice and comfortable cars will also not help you with your driver rating or tips, so don't get twisted by thinking driving people in a nice and comfortable car equals to 5 star ratings and tips. 2/3 of Uberx/Comfort/Share or Lyft/Share passengers will not tip you and they don't give a shit if you drive them to their destinations without an accident in a nice car.

You must understand that your car will be damaged or break down eventually. You are going to rack up so much mileage pretty quick if you are planning to drive full time or part time. Therefore, there is no need to buy an expensive or luxury cars. Some premium vehicles give you the ability to drive under XL, Premiere or Lux that pays drivers more, but eventually you will lose that access soon enough and the company and algorithms will force you to drive for regular trips such as Uberx. For example, I knew a driver who bought an Escalade to drive under premiere SUV option. Maybe a month or two later, the company suddenly changed the list of eligible SUVs for premiere option and his Escalade was excluded from that list. So that driver had to drive under Uberx/Comfort/XL option until he sold his Escalade. He took a loss and did the company care? No. There is another way to lose your access, so it is better not to get a nice car if you actually want to be profitable without headaches driving on rideshare platforms.
