The Importance of 🍒 Picking

Other than taking the most profitable trip available, there is another reason why you should cherry pick your trip requests.

Newbie drivers on these platforms who dont cherry pick will eventually experience one of the following:

  1. Car problems or breakdown
  2. Car accident
  3. Death

I have a real good understanding when it comes to being on a hamster wheel provided by Uber and Lyft. Once you get on that hamster wheel and don't cherry pick, you will be racking up serious mileage in no time. It's not that difficult and take long to rack up 100K miles on your car within a year.

I've personally seen many rideshare cars on the side of a road due to overheating during the summer in Las Vegas. Also, driving all over the place in Las Vegas will increase your chances of being invovled in an accident thanks to drunk drivers and stupid drivers. And it will also increase your fatigue and you will most likely fall asleep while driving without even knowing.

The passenger, A, in the picture above is most likely a Vegas local. A is most likely going home from the airport. The location of home is most likely the reason why this person has a rating of 4.65. I highly doubt that this person vomitted multiple times. A is smart enough to request Green instead of Uberx because A knows Green usually means Tesla with AC in the back. However, the rating indicates A will most likely not tip you. If A hits a jackpot with a newbie driver or a driver who is also going home, then a car should arrive shortly. If not, only option is black SUV, premier and taxi.

I would personally decline this request since it involves about 53 miles for $29 plus most likely no tip. This also involves driving on highway with potential crashes with drunk drivers, illegal migrant drivers and stupid drivers. Then there is wear and tear on the vehicle and fuel. If their time duration calculation is wrong, you are going to take more loss. That 30 minutes could turn into an hour with bad luck.
