EDC Las Vegas

EDC always reminds me of my 20's clubbing life. Going out to clubs at 11pm & leaving the club at 2am. Sometimes my buddies and I went out  clubbing at night and didn't return home from clubs until 3pm the next day. Then there were raves. It was fun and all, but now I feel I'm way too old to be doing EDC for 3 days unfortunately.

For the most part personally, EDC crowds were intelligent with good common sense compared to other passengers. They knew how to read Google map with a sense of directions. I'm not too sure if I was extremely lucky or not, but the majority of EDC crowds I've dealt with were very pleasant like Swiftie fans. You do have to watch out for EDC passengers who are extremely intoxicated in order to avoid vomits in your car.

As of 2025, EDC is not a lucrative gig for rideshare drivers unless you are doing Premier SUV or XL options.

The bare minimum payment for trip for EDC is about $75 excluding pick up & drop off bonus. But as of 2025, if you are doing regular Uber or Lyft, they will most likely offer somewhere between $8 to $25 excluding bonus.

If you pick up or drop off people at EDC at the wrong time, the total time of trip could be 3 hours and plus. The police will have the route to and from the EDC set up in a certain way with barricades and there is no way around it for the most part.

If you are dropping someone at EDC from the Las Vegas strip, there is a very high chance that you are returning back to the strip with no one in your car. In that case, you are essentially driving 25 to 30 miles for $8 to $25 dollars excluding bonus if there is any. Also, the majority of them won't tip you since they already got sucked dry by Vegas casinos & hotels, restaurants and the EDC.

On top of all that, once you get up to the EDC, you might notice that your phone signal reception really sucks and your apps might not work properly. In some cases, it might not even work at all. If that happens, you are going to be dealing with big headaches trying to communicate and find your riders. You could be easily wasting 30 minutes or hours trying to locate riders. The timer might not even work. So if you cancel, you are going to get screwed big time. Calling the support line in overseas and chatting with bots are not going to help you at all. They don't give a single F about your situation.
