[BONUS] Where 2 Eat In Las Vegas
Many Vegas visitors always ask me,
"Where do you recommend to eat in Las Vegas?"
I always say,
"Any place where you can see the kitchen and who works in there."
I used to go to this one pool hall due to my Irish boy drinking there frequently. That place was not known for food or had any specialty menu. However, i would go there to eat over many other well known restaurants in town.
The main reason why I went to that pool hall to eat was very simple. Every night when the place was about to close down, there were two girls who always wiped down and cleaned the kitchen and its equipment like a routine. I saw them doing it every night and I know they didn't f**k around when it was time to close up shop and go home. Also, they always washed their hands in front of me when they were about to prepare and cook my meals.
These days, i can't really trust any restaurant whether it's a popular restaurant or a big corporate chain. I've seen one too many sanitation violations in so many places and I don't want to get sick after eating a meal.
For example, i was at a Domino's pizza and I saw a guy working hard. Though he was a hard worker who was doing so many things to help the business operate smoothly, he was touching all kinds of stuffs and he didn't even wash his hands while making pizzas.
Here is another example, I was at a Costco food court waiting in line. While I was waiting and thinking about what I should order, I saw an employee washing her hands and putting on disposable poly food gloves to handle food. And then, she took cash bills with all types of germs from who knows where and what from a customer to put it in the cash register without taking her gloves off. She basically defeated the purpose of washing her hands and putting on disposable food gloves and she didn't even know it. Stupidity or not and no matter how busy the place is, you don't want to end up in a hospital because of something like that.
