After attending a local Toronto sneakers community event, my associate and I came across many sneaker collectors and sellers in all ages and genders who were either just starting out or maybe even need small assistance to pursue, grow or develop their collections or businesses.

As we advance in time and technology, The entrepreneurship is the answer to escaping the vicious cycle of working 9 to 5 low wage job with financial debts, unjust treatments and corruptions of the corporate world. It was great to see that there were so many young entrepreneurs at a local event. With explosion of gig economy sector and convenient access to technology and assistance, I believe you should take advantage and be independent to make a way to your freedom. It is very important to understand the simple concept of putting your money up to make money. This also means investing in yourself by learning to grow. There are many great people and resources you can learn from and work with.

In the beginning, I started out with two pairs of Under Armour Curry 1 All-Star shoes. I didn't even buy them with the purpose of reselling. Due to my injury, I needed a pair of comfortable sneakers with solid stability for standing and moving long hours at work. It turned out they weren't the best, so I ended up selling those online.

Jordan Retro 1 FEARLESSUnlike other popular sneakers Jordan Retros, Yeezys, Off-Whites and etc, those Curry 1 were my first sales. It might be difficult to believe, but it's true. And I love those unpredictable gems. It is more gratifying than other usual suspects. That experience and hard work eventually led me to where I am right now. I didn't have lots of money or a special plug to get my hands on the hottest sneakers out in the market. However, that didn't stop me from doing what I enjoy. That being said, do not fear and discouraged by your current situation if you are thinking about starting anything. You can do it too as long as you are determined and willing to put your money up to get your money up. 10 years ago, I was living in a small room of a basement in Toronto barely getting by. I was on KD Mac & Cheese and noodles diet. I would've never thought I would be here 10 years ago based on every obstacle I had to overcome. SKIP N SK8 was established to promote, encourage and assist those entrepreneurs in all stages of growth who are willing to put the money up and bet on themselves.
